Meet the Owner
I’ve been in the remodeling industry since I was 16—hard to believe it’s been over 30 years! Throughout this journey, I’ve gained hands-on expertise in nearly every aspect of residential construction, but I quickly found my passion in kitchen and bathroom remodels. I was drawn to the artistic side of this specialization and the meticulous attention to detail it demands. Since kitchens and bathrooms are typically smaller spaces to work in, this satisfies the part of me that is always looking for innovative ways to stay organized.
Over the years, I’ve managed projects ranging from a few thousand dollars to multi-million-dollar renovations, including everything from adding powder rooms to complete home transformations. I thrive on the problem-solving aspect of each project, as every endeavor presents its unique challenges and solutions, regardless of size or scope. The satisfaction of helping clients realize their dream spaces is unmatched, but the friendships I’ve built along the way have been equally rewarding.
As for the name “Downy Home” … my inspiration came from the vibrant and diverse birdlife I encountered upon moving to the Boulder area. I was particularly captivated by the Downy woodpecker and its charming, quirky personality. When it came time to name my business, it was an obvious choice.
